From the 14th of October, a new standard would be set for stage plays in Nigeria. From the stable of GbayiChild Entertainment comes a brilliant, hilarious and thought-provoking stage play titled “Shift Lemme Faint.”
Shift Lemme Faint is produced by Lydia Idakula Sobogun and would be directed by Kenneth Uphopho. The stage play will feature Nollywood actors such as Beverly Naya, Akah Nnani, Omoye Uzams, Najite Dede and Daniel Effiong.
The stage play will be themed on what it takes to be a Nigerian focusing on subjects like the Nigerian food, religion, the police, power supply, (NEPA palaver) parenting, culture, lifestyle etc. The stage play would also focus on the struggles of an everyday Nigerian and depict life in Nigeria and the crazy things we do that makes us Nigerians.
You’ll definitely have a great experience at Shift Lemme Faint as there would be massive fun and also lots of laughter. It’s holding at TerraKulture on the 14th & 15th of October and at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja on the 21st and 22nd of October 2017. The plays would hold at 4 pm & 7 pm daily.
The play was written by some of Nigeria’s finest writers; Hymar David Idibe, Stephen Eke & Abiodun Kuforiji Nkwocha as they illustrated life in Nigeria and adapted it into a stage production.
